Its working now. Using 3-32v ss relay from fpc for high speed, and std 12v nc relay from oil preassure for low speed. just have to insert a resistor or rheostat to change the pump speed on low. any sugestions?

Heres a tricky one. i have wired the tacho output from the igniter to a vs commodore tacho. It works, kind of. the needle moves, but i think it is expecting 3 pulse per revolution. what signal does the 1uz igniter put out? I would think 2/rev? The ic in the tacho is a ITT 3003-393, but i...

on further research i found the fpc wire runs 2.5 - 4v (http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h42.pdf) so my relay is only triggering on the high speed setting. i'm going to try running a standard 12v relay from the oil preasure switch for the low speed. Sideshow: how much are your tacho relays?

Hey sideshow, you still got those sensors? And, the wiring diagram i have, shows a speed signal going from the speedo to the ecu. Is it just wired in parralell to the spedo or is there some signal processing that needs to be done?

What grade of stainless are you using? 316 will tend to heat stress and crack, 304 is better for ehaust pipes.

I found that i could cut the standard uzz31 headers, most of the way through, at the end of the manifold flanges and bend them down a bit, gave me enough room for the steering shaft. and the engineer at work rekons the're made of inconel, heaps better than stainless

too small for a vl. they need a 30 / 25 head at least But you cant beat a good old aussie 308!
