Does anyone know if the L/H drive steering column is the same on a R/H drive '98 LS400 ?..... I'm in R/H drive Australia & looking at purchasing a L/H drive US column... Both the ignition keys are on the R/H side....

I'm guessing my '98 LS diff is 4.26 ?... does the Supra Torsen suit that ratio ? Didn't know the GS400 has paddles... man I would love that.. Sounds like you had a good weekend on the track... What class is the LS in ?... have you got an action photo ?

I have up & down play with the steering wheel.. it's not a problem as such it just annoys me... has anyone had this issue and fixed it ? Also at the end of the steering shaft right before the steering wheel goes on there is a 'snap ring'... What is a snap ring ?

I plugged a fault code device in the UBD2 but no fault codes... I also jumped pins 13 & 4 in the UBD2 socket and dash code thingy came up in the dash but with no fault codes... I have a quick disconnect on the battery in the trunk which i disconnect & reconnected many times hoping it would...

Bugger me... got in the car yesterday and everything just worked just fine... it's all come good... so I'm guessing there was a bad earth or dry connection somewhere.... No doubt about it.. the LS400 is the worlds first self repairing car... no need to take it to a dealer... just keep driving it...

I jumped the UBD2 connection... no faults came up...

Original engine.. original everything... I've wired up another water & oil temp gauge in the door pocket... but would be nice if the dash gauges worked properly.

My fuel & temp gauges are working but wildly inaccurate... the digital speedo, tacho & digital fuel readout all good... Does anyone know if these can be fixed ?

My '98 has 340.000 and runs beautiful... I doubt the valve clearances have ever been checked.... should I be concerned ?

A guy on the clublexus.com said he had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be the neutral safety switch... so i've just purchased a new generic one $40USD inc post to Australia... it's raining at present however tomorrow i'll go out and bridge those UBD pins and see what lights up.

I can see 4 is chassis ground ... what is 13 (TC) ?

Which is the TC-E1 ?... where can I go to find out ?
