    2UZFE Longblocks

    From my understanding Justin is runnning an early 1UZFE (read pre 95) with stock internals and is running something like 500bhp so...... Also from my understanding the rods changed to crappy skinny ones after 95 and not at the point they went VVT in 98 as was previously thought.

    Yes but how well are they actually handling it and do reviews talk about them 'tramlining' all over the place with horrendous torque-steer? :D Yeah in a straight line maybe, although I am still darn impressed you can put enough power down to achieve a 9 second run in a FWD car.....

    People talk about heat being an issue but if they can stand it in motorbikes (engines can hit 105 degrees and not be a problem really), have little or no airflow and rev to like 16,000rpm are these not all the factors that would mean they should have not problem on a UZ motor?

    Speaking of Jag XK's on the way to work this afternoon I had one of the brand new style versions come tanking it past me....this was an XK*R* and not an XK8 and by god did it sound nice! It belted past with a V8 sound but I swear it was barking and snarling at the same time, angry engine.
