hi, nice to meet you. there is a buch of technical stuff on the here, you could spend weeks reading it all, not including the links.

unbelievable take over at Spa F1 circuit

nice, though i dont see the point in reworking a VW Bus to take on a 911 GT3

    Project 1gz v12 jza80

i dont think you should have to run two different fuel pumps, just split the fuel line at the pressure regulator, or after it if thats not possible.

    Painting Parts = bad? help

i know all that, i was just trying to say that heat can make power, if horrible emissions along side.

    Painting Parts = bad? help

thats not true. Smokey Yunick proved that heating the intake manifold and intake charge to a certain point is a viable way to make HP. mostly by heating the fuel to the point that it is nearly fully atomized, so that it burns incredibly fast.

    Painting Parts = bad? help

how did you get rust on an aluminum block? and i dont think rust(Fe2 O3) is really good for anything other than red dye.

    Painting Parts = bad? help

the paint shouldnt hurt anything, but i woudlnt paint the intake, you never know what might happen.

    Supra MKIV

ya, they are fantastic cars, and part of that price is because the MKIV is the hero car on Fast and the Furious.

    08 Supra?

the MKIV has alot more torque than than the 300ZX, which probly made up for the measly HP advantage.

    Compound Turbo

i doubt it, since it really doesnt have any advantages over a single compound setup. its already an expensive and complex system, adding two more turbos would be a waste.

    08 Supra?

i doubted they would produce a new Supra any time soon.

the M5 is a nice car. i wish i had one.

    Porting Heads

the Bishop design would be a better solution for what they wanted to use it for, because they wouldnt need cutouts in the pistons for the "lobes" that are used in the Coates design. not to mention the Coates design is designed for production cars, not F1 cars. and if something lasts in a F1...

    SSAutochrome Turbo

i dont think broken is supposed to come as standard though. and besides, you have to have some mechanical reason to explain why your brand new turbo just blew up. if the shaft moves 1/8th of an inch, it should be able to take the abuse for a bit longer than a few hundred miles. it might be...

Christmas Gift !!! Old thread but New Stuffs

    i love that car....

    Porting Heads

ok then, F1 should use that design then :P. god only knows how much more power one of their engines would make from just reducing the parasitic drag of the pneumatic valve springs. unfortunately they are restricted to poppet valves.

    THE HORROR!!!!!! :twitch: :die:

    Porting Heads

ya, that they would. what with the oil-less "cams" that only run on ceramic bearings. thats a big mistake. even a trickle of oil would help the friction and wear problems. as for the sealing problem, engineering closer tolerances would fix that. but with the materials used in most commercial...

    Turbo Selection for 2UZ

i think the rod bolts arent as important in a low revving turbo motor. the only truly high stresses they would get is on the intake stroke. but the turbo pressure should be pushing on the top of the piston, instead of the crank having to pull on the bottom of the rods to get air into the...
