Thanks very much JamesN for the good review. You may want to flip the bar to the other side, one side has alittle less angle & is just alittle longer to clear that line. It looks like in pic #2 that you need to flip it.

I fixed that forgo mentioned problem about no bench vise. Made me a 68x32 fold up to the wall work table, w/fold down legs & place to mount the vice. Now i can work with those cams L O L.

This im thinking would be a slightly lesser compresstion set up since the piston doesnt come up as high.

Are you talking about the adjustment design part, where I said that it wasnt going to work? I think its cause i didnt use jam nuts to the bar. That might help it. I guess it dont really know how much preload it really needs, I was just trying to tighten it till the adjustment bolt got tight...

Yea i think going with the 4.3 is going to be my best option. i wish i could rebuild the block b4 i installed it but toyota dont make oversize stuff,& i cant afford to go forged.

well with the 4.7 i was just going to use the block & keep all my stuff, but i think i might just get the 4.3 & rebuild it to make it new. whats K.I.S.S. ?
