    New LS400 Owner ('96)

Already did. I bought the car in Sydney which is about 1000 miles from where I live. At about the speed you mention if floored from high third it will drop back down to second, flash to 6,000rpm then change. It makes for quite effective overtaking. I'm trying to find a air cleaner cover to...

    New LS400 Owner ('96)

Hi Lex & JB. One of my first actions was to post here. I haven't even got it home yet! I'm posting on the journey home (Sydney --> Adelaide via Canberra). As I'm writing this I am in Hay which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by the magnificent Hay Plains which has...

    New LS400 Owner ('96)

Hi again. You may remember me from such cars as the Supercharged 1UZ Cressida that I was battling. Well, that car's in the shed now (for sale or conversion to a circuit car) and I am now the proud owner of a (way too high and way too quiet) one owner with full Lexus service history and 180k...

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

This car is now for sale (I live in Adelaide Australia). I may also sell the engine separately. This is will go cheap as all I want to do is help cover the cost of my new...ready for it?...96 LS400! Mmmm, LS...mmmm

    Bullet Cams

Interesting thread. I just bought a Bullet SS engine and they fitted stock cams. When I enquired as to where my special "Bullet" cams were they said there never was any special cams installed in their Bullet engines. They were all stock cams. But perhaps they just said that to save money on my...

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

I agree let alone for the money what I could have done to this motor but the real buzz was to have a supercharged V8. You turbo guys are way off in the 1000s now and though that sounds fun but I like the sound and immediate grunt of a V8. Not much horsepower (I tell anyone who asks that it's got...

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

Have yet to figure out what type of idle speed valve I'll use. Thinking of a Ford one that is Bi-mettalic. I've run out of ECU inputs so I have to go mechanical. Any suggestions?

Good 'ol H20 there I'm afraid. That's the water injection injector. 600cc. ECU controlled. Constant pump.

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

You serious?! I don't like it at all but someone yesterday said they liked it as well. I may start changing my mind. The engineer made me put it on as a condition. He said he didn't like the "pinch point" at the blower pulley. I didn't want to argue with him so I got the lads to build me shroud...

Hi Cob. Lex asked me that earlier in this thread. I'll just paste the same response I gave him...

Thanks. I was just out driving it again this afternoon. Endless fun. Here's some better pics I took recently. Also doing the rounds on other forums but there are so many places I like to hang out - this is one of them.

Sorry Pimp. I guess you were for a second. I saw your post but I guess I got carried away responding to all the others. I live near the city but can travel anywhere. Have sent you a PM with my mobile.

Thanks. Yeas I think this specific Model is the best looking. Lot's of rodding cues, smoothed out, flush tail lights, rounded corners. I must agree, they are handsome. Especially when you lower them a bit and fit nice size tyres. Yeah Lex, the M90 is maxed out. I reckon whipple is next but I...

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

I'm already planning it! Twin screw I reckon. I also need a dual map capable ECU to take advantage of water/methonal to keep the detonation under control. While I had the blower off I also noticed that the inside of the intake manifold needed a LOT of cleaning up. The welds are lumpy and the...

Thanks Cribb. Huge compliment. Thanks. A bit too shiny for my liking but what are ya gonna do? Kev, sorry but with that damn chattering from the exhaust cam gear I wasn't in the mood to show anyone but now that's been sorted I'm happy to share. Unfortunately the car is back in Adelaide now so...

    Supercharged Cressida - take 5

Thanks. The pulley is 145mm crank and 56mm Blower. A 2.58 ration. With a 6,500 rpm engine redline I'll be spinning it to 16,770 rpm. Max is 14,000, real max is 16,000 and the really really real max is about 19,000 but that's only because things start to get too hot under there which is where...
