The Oz and US-spec LS400s may be mechanical (clutch) setups, but the JDM Celsior definitely also runs an hydraulic fan...(My Cressida's engine came from a Celsior and has the pump etc, and I imported a Celsior last year which also had the hydraulic setup).

What about running a full-length plastic undertray with a small, downwards-facing lip at the back, such that it creates a high-pressure zone above, and a low-pressure zone beneath. This way, air gets sucked through the engine bay and out under the car...Although what it might do the car's...
