The distributor was when I did the timing belt and water pump. Less then 2,000 miles ago. Looked good at that time and was having the problem since I bought it. Have not checked the plugs. The wiring is alright. Not great shape but not cut up.

Ok took a trip up to Denver, got some interstate run time in. The miss at 2000 rpms. is also from 2800 to 3000. And then again at about 3500rpms. Anyone got any ideas? Crank sensor? MAF? TPS?

Nice work. Where did you get the engine mounts? Thats what I was thinking of going with to keep the engine clear of the SAS. Now I hear the the uz headers are all the same. Is that true. The Tundra headers fit? Nice work on the headers to fit with the steering.

Yeah he only wants $950 for the entire car. Most places I go for parts are up in Denver and they come from wrecks. If you want a good shell keep checking Craigslist, thats what I do as I moved here from Las Vegas 4 years ago.

White smoke means anti freeze, when you rebuilt did you use new gaskets? If not thats the problem. If you did, is everything torqued correctly? When it was apart did you inspect the cylinder walls? Valve check? Somehow antifreeze is being burned.

I just swapped out the engine keeping it with the stock 5spd. Got it form a 2001 Tacoma 4x4 that had the 5spd.

Yeah that wiring fix is no issue. I do that for a living. Work at Lockheed Martin. I just have to grab some extra wire, preferably the same color/ strip pattern. Now I now where the problem is. I have no idea about tire size. My guess is no, cause the tires I replaced were bald as hell. Meaning...
