orange compound hi no prep needed really it is a locking compound which by being there also acts as a lubricant but is primarily a locking compound. if you are worried about the holes just give them a quick clean with some carb cleaner or the like. neil

z125 fits mine well - just had to shorten the crush tube on the idler arm neil

pull them off and take them to a machine shop and get them to machine flat (probably on a belt sander) neil

ebay pulley i put one of those ebay pulleys in my hilux and the holes were slightly different - not quite tapped far enough slightly different length. only took 4 days to get to australia. still quite usable and a good looking part for the price. can't beat original lexus parts though! neil

hi all i have bought myself a badge for the 1uz in my hilux but i am unsure what to stick it on with. was it only stuck down with double sided body tape or should it be glued on with something like seam sealer? neil

like peewee said - use a banjo bolt which goes through a fitting like the feul inlet or pressure reg. i'll have a look for a spare - neil

on the back of my 1uz manifomd there is a vacuum fitting for the brakes and a separate one for the heater tap maybe yours has been bumped off/fallen out. or try ripco and see if they do a tee piece that you could cut into the rubber line - neil

no second gear hi all i have the same drama with my ls400 1992. doesnt do it all the time but more prevailant when hot. manual shifting the box it works perfectly. did adjusting the kickdown fix this? any other ideas?

hi what do you mean by all the dash lights are on? literally all of them - or just the warning lights? if it is just the warning lights (mine was showing oil level, coolant low level, battery and rear tail light out) it was solved by replacing the alternator even though it was charging 14.3...

the flywheel bolts out of a 3rz are the ones you are looking for m10X1.25 and from under the bolt head are 33mm long. these are what i am using in my 1uz man conversion. stumbled over it whilst fitting it into where the 3rz hilux came from
