Well, im going to be doing the front torque convertor seal. So while I was in there I was wondering if I should do the rear main? My engine has quite high k's. Is it a known problem on these motors? Or best to leave it alone? Would you change it?

ahh... doesnt sound right, try and use a small timber dowel (not so small it snaps off in there) and see if you can maybe realign the gears that have moved??

Any bolt shop out here has them. Go with the high tensile, they are a standard metric thread. You might need to buy some short set screws and just cut them to the correct length.

Front torque convertor/pump seal.... Or something more sinister?? Any ideas? Just dripping out of the bellhousing pretty badly, was a tiny weep, then after a bit of a caning, it got a lot worse.

I got a 1uz and a 2uz block, but im in Aus.:)

phoned, 1uz and surf have the same low first gear. The early 7m boxes have a higher ratio (lower numerical value). Being 4x4 I want to have a lower gear if possible, with my 1.5 kit he said im okay for now.

The alternator is mounted incredibly low, right down near where your steering box is going to be (unless you go orbital) and assuming you are right hand drive. I would move the alternator up high, or delete it in your buggy if possible, but with a winch, you will need a decent alternator. On...
