engine oil .... any 15W/40 - 20W/50 should do the job. just dont get too cheap stuff. and make sure you dont one suited to ral old cars. just something like Shell Helix should do the job. even semi-sinthetec Shell Helix Plus would prolly be a better option. oil filter just use Ryco etc...

RT's (Reaction Time's) generally dont come into the ET (quarter mile time) tho. so that doesnt make a difference to the results. really. it takes the car the RT + ET to get from one end to the other.

what peewee said is correct. even if the cam belt snaps are high rpm the pistons cannot hit any of the vavles. i forget the technical term for this setup, but the 1UZ has it. :)

go to your local newsagents and buy "Zoom" magazine. just look thru it at all the *** wrecker ads and you should find heaps with Crown half cuts. :)

is the LS1 all alloy tho? or just alloy block?

where do you buy gaskets for the 1UZ in Australia?? :S i'm just after a few from the intake side of things....not a full kit.

because i'm not running A/C or Power Steering or the belt driven fan. so my belt is just going to go from the crank to the alternater to the tensiner. so i need the tensioner to be ribbed. anyone?

easy question... who makes them?? i need to get the tensioner changed so it is ribbed. i've never needed to do anything like this before so don't know who to look at to make one up. thanks.
