    what have people done about tailshafts with Crown halfcuts with the slip yolk that has the non-replaceable uni?? how did you end up getting the tailshaft done?

    starter motor is located in the middle of the engine between the heads. takes up no room AT ALL outside the motor, so ignore it when thinking about space. you can see it in this pic, the round looking thing in the middle of the engine.

    QuickFitMotorsport have also dont one into a VR wagon i believe it was. was neat looking....turned the intake manifold around so the stock airbox could still be used.

    but since YOU'LL be driving the car if ever you race it, then driver skill SHOULD be taken into account anyway. dyno's are good for back to back HP readings after mods. to see who's car goes quicker.... nothing beats the 1/4 mile. PLUS - put a mach truck on a dyno....it'll pull over...

    turn the A/C on and then full-lock the steering and drive around some corners. if it doesn't slip then, it wont slip at all.

    same with any non-turbo'd car tho. watch out with oiled filters (like K&N) as the oil can interfere with the AFM if it is placed too close. mufflers?? do the WHOLE exhaust for best value-money performance.

    what do you mean harm?? all its going to do if the lack of wrap gets too much under high PS load is slip a little at the crank.... all this will do is slightly slow the belt for a second or two. since the only other accessory on the belt is the alternator it shouldnt matter. EDIT - oh yeh...

    still use the one throttle body outside the plenum... but set up inside the plenum like this: http://www.fedrelandsvennen.no/amcar/eurohot/bilder/hot4.jpg all that has a plenum cover to fit over it with throttlebody outside.

    bolt on testpipes/racepipes sc4 and ls4, and headers for sc400

    some1 with an aftermarket ecu make a map for a car with headers only. tune it properly and it'll hammer. then just load it up for drag days etc...just imagine the sound of the thing. : )

    Oil

    think it only goes black coz it burns. synthetic stuff must be more resistant to this. you can tell if its cleaning a dirty engine my looking for chunks when you poor the dirty oil into an old container slowly.

    same as any car really i'd assume. i usually use plain shell helix in my commodore.... at oil changes it comes out black. every now and then i use shell helix plus (semi synthetic) and at oil changes it comes out only a little darkish, but nowhere near black. so i guess the synthetic...
