    Toyota V12

I was looking at the BMW motors, and figured to wait for a reasonable, late model engine with 4-valve heads would be the ticket. If and when that will happen, who knows?

What I found in an engine

I've seen engines that had a "loaf" of crud in the shape of the valve cover, figured it was from using a parafin(Pennzoil) based oil, and not much in the way of regular maintenance.

    V8 Fiat

Those are such nice looking cars, would be a nice swap; was considering a similar swap into a Beta Monte Carlo a few years back that would have entailed a lot of steel tubing to pull off. I would love to find an Opel/Vauxhaul Ascona from the early seveneties for a similar swap.

    New Sc400 Headers Available

You never see any mention of a/f mixtures being corrected after the addition of aftermarket parts, I've noticed, just random numbers. Tends to make a diffeerence ya know. Take an engine that was running quite rich, open up the exhaust, and you've now gained a few hp from the increase in flow...

    Code 12 Possibilties

Found an open circuit; the crank sensor wire that the piggyback uses had come separated inside the connector. It's always the aftermarket stuff it seems.

    Code 12 Possibilties

Nothing has been touched in that area, distributors are in fine condition. What I believe I need is a pinout description of the ecu, and ignitor plugs so I can check the ECU for a pulse from the sensors, and an output to the ignitors. Unless there's something I'm missing...

    Code 12 Possibilties

The ignitors have a 5v signal going to them, is that what you are refering to, or is it the small signal to the cam, and crank sensor that you are refering (STA signal)to?

    Code 12 Possibilties

I've managed to come up with a code 12 recently, along with no spark on both sides. Both the cam sensors, and the crank sensor check out OK on the ohms test; anything else that I can check out besides the wiring itself?

    Testing crank sensor

With a code 12, I'm assuming that refers to the crank sensor, and not the cam sensors, correct?

Installing a bonnet scoop over an intake

Not worth the bonnet scoop, but definately worth giving some thought to, as you are.

    audi 4.2 v-8 on ebay

That was a very expensive car when it was in better times. You could make a 4wd hotrod/go-cart out of the parts.

    MAF/ Map Sensor Help ???

I've been on the search for a Unichip programmer(tool) for a few years, hoping that some Subaru shop/tuner would be ready to sell one. They cost as much as the Unichip itself when new, and are probably just a simple circuit.

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

NAPA Auto Parts has a picture guide for wheel studs, I had to find longer studs for another car with a custom big brake setup.

    Manual Conversion (SC400)

I was doing some research on putting a five speed into my SC a couple years back, but slowed down when I realized that the standard-type clutch was going to be very small for 3,800 pound car, and that the multi-disc clutches were astronomically priced.

    Decent price for a 1UZ-FE?

    If it's Gundy's, they're cosistently a bit high I've noticed.

Hp Gains With Re-directed Air Conditioner?

Bruce Crower has made an engine that is 6 cycle; it has a camshaft that runs at 3:1 to the crank, and during the extra power cycle that has been allowed, water is injected into the hot chamber, which expands and creates power in the process. i guess the engine runs way cooler as a result, along...

    Supra Vs SC400

The Supra is a very good looking car, but I've always been a fan of sleepers.

Have you tried to shim the accumulator springs? http://lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4669 I will be doing this myself soon.

    What make lextreme.com so successful?

I know that today may have been the first time that when I typed "lextreme" on Google, that I wasn't asked if I had spelled it right. Wow, 4,000, that's pretty good.
