Hey Guys, I just inherited a 1993 SC400 w/ 1UZ (55k miles on odo...but...she has been sitting for almost a decade under a carport). I have loved this body style (almost as much as a MkIV) since they premiered while I was in school as a kid. I know it has about 290hp based on specs; but I want to get a little more out of her so I can swap her out as a DD choice. Backstory: My current DD is a Stage 3 '16 Forester XT (415awhp @ 22PSI) and weekend driver is a C5 Vette (500rwhp N/A). Fun times car is a '78 280z LS1+T56 swap. I also have an '03 Forester XS I am teaching my kid to rebuild and a '04 Mini SC that I am building for audio competitions (SQL in case you were wondering...modified 10k no wall). This is my first Toyota build and I don't want to go TOO crazy but need to get at least 350-400hp out of her.

I am open to all recommendations on the build! Just picked up the EGR delete from mod.

Thanks in advance everyone!

I think you might find the early UZ were closer to 250hp crank. One of the first things I would be doing , after getting it running and normal maintenance done would be an aftermarket ecu which does both engine and transmission if you plan to keep it auto. To get to the 350-400Hp mark its lots of $$ to do N/A so some boost would be an easy way to get there.

Which ECU would you recommend? I may walk down this path if my ECU was to go too..
