V8Supra.com conversion (lots of pics, not modem friendly)

I'm doing a different conversion.

I'm putting V8Supra.com into an Remote Control Car shell.

Its all being mounted on 2mm checkboard aluminium. I've got some 1mm angle aluminium to mount the HDD/CDrom etc. with. I've got translucent red and black spraypaint as my Supra is officially black with red pearl. It took about 20 minutes to find some Volk Racing Rims the same as mine.

lmao how bodgy is the cardboard box?! hehe

are you putting the whole mobo/cpu and all in there?? looks small..
just watch out for heat... dont want the thing to melt on you.

The cardboard box has gone great for the last 3 weeks! CPU runs at 24 degrees. The fan on the side of the box I unplugged as it was too noisy. So theres only 1 fan in there and thats directly on the chip!

Inside the box is:
Mini-itx mobo & 800mhz chip
384 Mb memory (2 sticks)
10gig HDD (slim)
CD Rom (slim)
60 watt power supply

I'm going to fit all that inside the supra shell and I'm hoping to put my ADSL modem inside the shell too.

Hahaha. I was considering it, but I'm not sure. If I did that then I'd have to disconnect it from the net. ie. no v8supra.com for the day.

Suppose it would only be 1 day. I'll do it!

Pictures update. I havn't painted the shell yet, but it runs!

I've made some mounts for the headlights/tail lights. I need my soldering iron to wire the lights up though.
