V8 PT Cruiser

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
Running but still on blocks

Yes we have it running up one stands clutch and gearbox working fine
finished exhausts twin 2.5"
brakes and clutch bleed
The wiring is all connected and just taping up and trying to fit it all behind the dash
The wiring took a lot longer than i thought it would with a few problems :damnit: trying to get R154 speed sensor to work speedo with no luck so got a late model Hilux speedo drive from R150 and works fine
also found Led warning light for alternator would not trigger regulator and had to go back to a normal bulb
hope to get out for the test drive this weekend ( if its dry!!!!!!)

Well done,
you Kiwis seem to get the job done, first place i'd like to go for a holiday actually
did you go for a test drive?
guess what the next question is???

you guessed it, have you got a Video of it?
Brilliant effort.

It goes and goes well

The old pipe was the tube we used on the engine dyno so it burnt of the protective oil and whet rusty as long as it passes noise test will drop it off and give it a cleanup and VHT
Had its first drive sunday only did 22ks but went real well handles and brakes are magic
I thinK 450hp will be more than enough
A bit more rubber than the 215s is in order
off for a wheel alignment this week before we give it good go
and then finish of the tech inspection to get complyence papers for the REG and WOF

will get some photos when the weather fines up as been raining last couple days

incredible. *golf clap*

give a kiwi a mig and a roll of bailing wire and look what they come up with.

and i'm pretty sure you CAN rego something like this in OZ, you just need an engineer to be willing to sign off on it all, at each stage of the way.

Great job....remembering the pics of a zillion floor panels laid out and thinking 'this will never be finished' :)

Short wheel base must be challenging? or are they longer than they look?

pt wheelbase

The wheel base is 10mm shorter than the soarer but does not have the front and rear overhanges so car is about 450mm shorter overall
is about 100mm lower than standard PT so hight is not much taller than soarer
whent to wheel alignment today got everthing spot on but ran out off camber adjustment on front arms
can get camber right but then caster out so set with correct caster
camber will only cause a bit of tyre wear
must be the same with any lowered supra/soarer
does anyone make a camber adjustment kit ?

Is there is a special kit for camber adjustment !!

I don't know !

the finer adjustments

wheel alignment sorted
modifyed rear adjuster cams on front lower arms and increased length off sloted hole on both
set to +.75 which is to the top end off the soarer spec
drives and handles perfect
changed gearbox oil to Redline shockproof that smothed out gearchanges
put redline 80w 140 in diff now a lot less chatter on tight turns
will get some photos done when the sun comes out

Pasted tech inspection Some more photos

Has been for its LVV cert and all Ok just waiting on the ID plate to come from Head office Then we can register for the road
Driving on a dealer plate at moment
Goes real real well
1st and 2nd just goes straght to rev limiter
will have to get some custom wheels made to get a bit more rubber on the road as would need a 9" rim with a 60 offset and 8" x 60 front
