Let the party begin! I got my Chevy TH400 rebuild with strong parts. Today to a drive to a local truck junk yard and picked up a TH400 driveshaft. It was from a 4x4 truck. Here are some pictures:
Here is a the original Lexus SC400 front driveshaft. I cut about 4-5" off.
Here is a picture of the SC400 front drive shaft after is was cut.
Here is a picture of the TH400 drive shaft cut.
Here is a picture of both driveshafts mating together. It is obvious that the Lexus is about 3/8" small in diameter. However the thickness of the two shafts are pretty close.
Here is a picture of the two shafts inserted into the TH400 transmission.
When my car is install with the TH400. Final length adjustment will be needed. Once we know the final length, then I will take these two pieces to a driveshaft shop have them mate togther and balance.
