Well, im going to be doing the front torque convertor seal. So while I was in there I was wondering if I should do the rear main?

My engine has quite high k's. Is it a known problem on these motors? Or best to leave it alone?

Would you change it?

Change it whilst in there.

Doesn't cost much and is easy to do.

The seal is in a "carrier" that bolts to the rear of the block.

Use a sealant around it and also make sure you use a sealant on the flex plate bolts as they pass into the sump.

Okay its only one seal and 95007 supercedes 06, so thats all that means.

He was dead against selling me the 'O' Ring and claimed that you would be better off with silicone sealant in there as thats what the 2UZ uses. Im reluctant to trust him, as he didnt know what a soarer was initially.

Thanks again for all your help ZUFFEN. All parts arrived and accounted for. I will be in for a fun weekend! Also adding a couple of litres of sump capacity to both the motor and box this weekend, and while im in there, welding on the fitting for the turbo oil drain into sump.
