oil pressure gauge

how do i hook up an oil pressure gauge to a 1uz in a 95 sc400. im lost
is there a hole in the block or do i have to tap a line. help me please

There's a low oil pressure switch on the cast aluminum neck that bolts up to the oil pump, and holds the oil filter. That low oil pressure switch drives the idiot light on the dash.

I would think you could easily remove that switch and put an electric sender there instead, and then run a couple wires to your electric oil pressure gauge in the cabin.

IIRC, that switch's threads are going to be either 1/4" or 1/8" BSP, which may be a little tough to mate.

ah, but then you lose the idiot switch..so use a union that allows 2 outputs to be taked,one to your gauge,one to the switch..speed shop will have such a thing..1/8bsp is the thread..

oh get a good high reading gauge,as mine hits 100psi easy when cold..
