Nice to see another 1UZ MK3 conversion. Post some pics and keep us updated on the progress. The project is easily doable in three weeks as long as the parts are on hand.

ok so i got the old motor and trans preped for removal
im now looking into the wiring while i wait for my w58 adapter kit and motor mounts to arrive

update 1

just wanted to update

so far the engine and transmission have been removed
the bay has been preped for the new motor and trans

im still waiting on my kit from jake so i can bolt it all together.
while ive been waiting for the kit i managed to replace my steering rack and patch my rusty fenderwells

ill add some pics when i get a chance

Ok so the kit arrived from jake

yea so im a lil retarded
jake was nice enough to send me a bearing that is a lil nicer to the pressure plate and i flipped cause i didnt see the spacer that he put in one of the original packages
i found the spacer and it is the right size
i feel like an absolute ass tho cause i sent him a nasty email and it was all my fault for not checking the package closely enough

i just want to take a second and apologize to jake again for being a complete ass hat this morning.
sorry bro

update
i managed to get the flywheel clutch and pressure plate mounted today
also got the adapter plate together and the bellhousing mounted up

im going back over in the morning to put the two together and drop her in

ok so i set the motor in the car and i nicely forgot to clear the brake booster
and now i understand what brandon was talking about on beating in those subframe tabs

im gonna try to get that booster out of the way

yea im not liking those tabs now i see what you meant about beating them in
(too late now) im wondering how i can ding my booster to clear the valvecover, i was lookin on here and cant find the pictures
i have no idea how this is supposed to look
is there any way around the tab issue?

the only way around the tab issue is to put the engine in first then put the transmission in from the bottom. (major pita) If you're carefull, you can push those tabs flush where you can't even tell they were there in the first place.
as for the booster, you can't use the stock brake booster. you have to use a post 1991 toyota truck booster that's 8" in diameter. Or, you just go without one. (not reccomended)

ok the engine and trans are in the car and set down in there good
the only issue im having is that the trans isnt centered but i think that will change once i bolt up the brace for it at least i hope so any way.

still looking for a brake booster and some accurate instructions on this wiring i need to do
