Hey guys,

I'm all the way from South Africa. I have a Mazda Rustler Bakkie (small pick-up) or whatever it is called. Beneath the bonnet is a 1UZFE non VVT-i motor. The bakkie is quite fast but I want to get a little bit more torque out it.

I can go 1 of 2 ways but don't want to open up the engine as it's a very light vehicle (~950 kg)

1- 2 x GT25 or GT28 turbos, one on each cylinder bank running max boost of 0.7 bar with a front mounted intercooler. I know the stock internals are quite strong especially the rods as it is the 1989-1994 motor. I don't really need to boost more than 0.5 bar as the bakkie is already very light so dont want to.open up the motor. Parts here are very expensive.

2- Twin throttle body intake with some nitrous.

What would you guys suggest? The guys here are all 1JZGTE and 2JZGTE crazy. Got myself a 1JZGTE VVT-i for later on when I'm sick of the 1UZ.

Any advice would be higly appreciated.
