Man I cannot figure out how to link websites to the thread, help anyone?

I have an interesting web page read I want to link to a new thread. I have no problem linking pictures, and such, when I save the website page it is saved and stored in my C drive which is C:/Johndocument/htm..for example. I then use the manage attachment option below and browse to locate, I find the saved web page on my computer, then go to upload and this site says file not ... I guess I need to change the save to a Http/...rather the C:drive can someone explain to me how to do this. I have tried and I cannot figure it out... I have a good link I want to share too... Anyone? I am using window XP, and can zipfiles...

I feel like an idot posting this....I just have never linked stuff in all my years of computer play...
