IS200 Swap from 1G-FE to 1UZ-FE

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
well guys i had a go at the wiring, but i just can not seem to get my head round it....so i have stoped before i f***k it up,

so i have moved on to the Gearbox (R154) and trying to mate it to the 1UZ, it took me some time but i got there in the end, i have made
a Transmission Adaptor Plate for it, i just have to take it to my guy that dos all water/jet cuting for me, i can tell you geting this bit done has made me very happy :) so im off to get this bit cut, i will let you all know how it gos when it comes to fiting the gearbox.......

I will try and keep the UPDATES comeing.......

Hi guys, on the fuel side....i was going to use -6AN from tank to inline fuel pump, and then to the Fuel rails then -8,AN from the rails to the FPR & -6,AN for the return. or should i keep it all the same size apart from the return line....

what do you think!

all so any one know what size connecter the fuel rail takes....is it -8AN or -10AN dont think its -6AN as they look to big......??

how are you goin with the wiring

i just looked at a 2jz in an is200 today

the later is200's use multiplexing which can complicate things

plus the air conditioning system all runs thru the factroy 1g fe ecu

so u have to do some tricks to get the factory ecu to think the engine is still running so somehow u have to get rpm signals from the 1uz to the is200 ecu

these days the newer the car the harder it is to get everything to work properly

if its a 1uz vvti u might also have security on the ecu which is another headache to add to your list

Yes, you have to keep the 1G ECU in place so that the multiplex and air-con still work. I had to share several signals with both ECU's to keep all things working like a factory install.

Hi guys. i have started the wiring, i have done about 70% of it, but like you say it gets hard as the IS200 has the multiplex!! + the TRC runs from the IS ecu as well so i think i will have to run the IS ecu as piggyback and try and get a RPM signal put into the ecu, the aircon is ok as i am takeing it out of the car, so i will not need to do that bit of it,

im geting there all be it slow but! then this is my first wiring of an ECU...

@grahamd, did it all work ok mate when you did yours??

Hi guys well all that wiring i did with the LS400 ECU was a wast of time as i have gone and get me a 2nd hand (HKS F-CON V Pro .ECU.) and im over the moon with the price i paid for it just under $400 :) but i dont no if it has the book with it, to let me know whats what....if any one know where i can get that from would be cool.....

UPDATE!!

Well i just got most of the bits i need to do the Manifolds, all i need now is the V bands/clamps and the plate turbo bolts to, and i can start makeing them.

I all so got some more bit for my setup, the Wastegate came today along with my Oil cooler and fitting for it...HKS F-CON came last week along with my fuel lines! just waiting for the fuel fitting to come in,

have not had much time to do any more work on the car.......but this week comeing i have some time on my hands, to get some work done, i will give you guys an update at the end of the week.....

some pic,s of the bits that came in....

Hi guys i started my manifold, for my Turbo setup... im makeing 2 new ones, i will be linking them up to the turbo at the front of the engine, i have gone for 1.75" into 2.50" and im going with T70 Turbo with 60mm Ex-wastegate.

still alot of work to be done on the manifolds but its geting there, not to long now and they will be done......

hello - just interested in the motor - we see JDM toyota 1UZ in NZ and there are some differences. You have a 5/8th waterhose coming from the thermostat housing going down the front of the motor - does the lexus based motor ran an oil cooler or where does that hose go? where does it re enter the system. Also is the fan idler standard?. We have a lexus based motor in a hilux that came in for cooling issues and it also had the same idler - I thought someone had swapped in a crown idler ( have the same on my motor but had to swap it in - we only see them in crowns - front sump celsior have hydralic fan oil pumps.) I will take more note of our motors and see what else is different. We are starting to see these swaps happening over here - same platform but normally badged Altezza. Good luck with yours - cheers

Hi guys im about to start to fit the fuel lines, This is what i think i will do but please let me know what you guys think about this setup!!

so from the Bosch fuel pump, im going with -6AN all the way to a ( Y ) connecter in the engine/bay, and then duel -6AN lines to the fuel rails, and duel lines from the rails to the FPR & then -6AN return back to fuel/tank

just waiting on the parts to get here!! that Lex (Daivd) got for me then i can start....:)

Hi guys, i have done the fueling side of things, and as you can see from the pic,s i have gone for duel line setup, as i did abit of searching on here and thats what seems to be the way to go, i could have gone with -8AN lines but i went for the -6AN to start with......well here are some pic,s of what i did. + there is a pic of my manifold where the turbo sits.

Let me know what you are thinking guys, good or bad! in my eye's all feed/back is good! .......:)

Hi guys have not done much to the car as i have been out of work, still looking for new! job. :(

any way i have been out to the car today to see if i could get the wireing done.....but i have had no luck with it, if i put a diagram of the IS200 wiring up on here could some one please point out what wires go where on the LS400 ECU , as im going round and round with this, and im geting no where with it, knowing me i have over looked something!! so if someone could help that would be cool...

Thanks

Marcus, how about a link to your wiring diagrams, so the people don't have to search for them?

u really think someone can tell u which wire go where via the internet

fuk for me to wire that car properly would take 10 or so hours

thats to get everything working perfect

so i guess maybe a year on the net u might get it goin

u really need to sit every diagram down and slowly go thru it

ive seen others try wiring a 2jzgte into an is200

like ive said on an earlier post

the is200 ecu controls a fair bit of stuff u will p[rob have to run both

the is200 ecu and the ls400 ecu in tandem

problem is the cam and crank signals

im sure the is200 ecu needs rpm signal for air conditioning to work

not sure whart else the ecu controls id have to look at my diagrams

but seriously if u are looking at yr diagrams and goin round in circles i personally would get job done by atleast someone who understand the diagrams better than u

sorry to be so harsh but its a big job if u want everything to work perfectly

Hi mate, i take it u have not taken the time to start from page 1 of my swap, cos if u did u would know for 1 im not running the air/con any more and for 2 i am running the IS200 EUC along with the LS400 ECU, and 3rd i dont what someone to tell me where all the wires go, is what i asked for if u like to read over it one more time, i was asking if someone could point out what wires i need from looking at the IS200 Diagram as there is only 6 or 7 wires i need.

and 4th you post was no help at all sorry to be harsh (as u put it)
but thanks any way for your input!!
