I am building a hilux with a 1ux and a few other bits and pieces and as mine was originally a diesel I need to change the original tacho to read the 1uz signal. I am also using a gearbox with an electronic signal so I also have to change out the speedo to an electronic one instead of cable. Also would like to have oil pressure (my cluster from a SR5 which has oil pressure)and a good temp readout.
I got to thinking that it was going to be alot of stuffing around and I am also having trouble finding an electronic speedo from a hilux/surf/4runner so looking into other options like digital guages.
I have found a nice set made by Dakota Digital http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=219/category_id=416/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd219.htm which I can probably stretch my measly budget to. Has anyone used these or have any other suggestions of ways to get a stockish looking instrument cluster
