Difference between 1UZ-FE pre/post96

Just want know the difference between the lower comp (Before 1996) 1UZ-FE's and the Higher comp (After 1996) engines.

What makes the compression different? Is it just the pistons?

Im assuming from this that the pre/post 1uz's are very much the same.
That means the piston and rod setup is interchangeable right?

I know Lex posted a page with photos of all the different conrods and pistons but I can't seem to find it

The high comp engine actually came in at the end of 94 and it also seems the skinny rods were introduced then as well. After 96 it got VVTi but the comp stayed the same (10.4).

Not sure what makes the comp different though.

In USA Version:
1990-1994: compression is 10:1
1995-1997: Compression 10.4:1
1998-2000: Compression 10.4:1 (VVTi)

International models might be different....
