Alternator wiring troubles.

Okay, I am having a hard time wiring my truck. I have done the whole swap by myself until now. I suck at electrical stuff. So, if someone could help me please, I would appreciate it. My donor car was a '91 Lexus LS400 and my vehicle that I am swapping into is a '93 Toyota 4Runner that came with the 3.0 v6(3vze). I have the stock alternator harness from the Lexus car, but I just don't know how to wire it up since the 4Runner came with an external voltage regulator and the Lexus has an internal one. Anyways, if anyone knows how it should be please tell me how to do it.

cut the plug that goes to the external voltage reg

3 wires will goto 4runner alternator so throw them out

the 3 left over wires should be a white a red and a yellow

connect white to white on 1uz
connect red to black/yellow on 1uz
connect yellow to yellow on 1uz
