A friend has offered to whip my a$$ in his supercharged Tundra. He wants a rolling start from 20km/h to 200km/h.

What are my chances?

The Tundra is bigger, larger diameter wheels and has more power but also more weight.
Your Lexus is lighter and more aerodynamic.

Hard to say who will be quicker over a measured distance, especially if it was a rolling start.

You will most likely get the jump from a standing start.

It's a tough one this! I don't wanna lose!

Check out his onboard video, seems like his acceleration is slower than mine! See how long it take him to accelerate from a certain speed to a certain speed, and see mine!

His Tundra 80km/h to 210km/h

My GS460 from 20km/h to 220km/h

But I don't know what he's done to his pickup since. He seems very confident and I think he's got something up his sleeve!

He's insisting on a roll from 20km/h to 200km/h only!

You should also consider the weights of the 2 vehicles. Your GS is 3900lb whereas the quad cab tundra weighs 5155lb and 4900lb for regular cab. 1000lb difference can also be viewed as a 100bhp difference. Also, your GS has an 8 speed auto w/ 150mpg top speed, so if the tundra has a lower top speed, you'll have him there. The extra gear changes might sap some time but its hard to say.. never driven the new 8-speeder! Another MAJOR factor I just thought of is your drag coefficient. The GS has a VERY low coefficient of 0.27. Trucks have horrible drag coefficients due to their design so he's going to need more raw hp to fight wind resistance. I say its up to the driver?

340hp versus 500 = 160hp defecit so in all honesty I say it will be close w/ the variables above adressed.

Keep us posted!
