AC in a 1UZ-FE MKIII MA70 Supra

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had running AC in their 1UZ swapped MKIII Supra, I was looking at it and it looks as if the top plate on the compressors are interchangeable, but the stock Supra lines is what’s getting me. They look like they will live right where the exhaust manifold goes, so if anyone has AC on a 1UZ in there Supra, please enlighten me?

The tops are interchangeable but I would have the Supra lines shortened if you want to use them. I thought about keeping the A/C and following this route after placing the compressor and checking line placement and found the same results as you. It becomes really crowded with those two lines in there.

From memory I had the connectors on one the stock lines changed to suit the 1UZ compressor, however the other line bolted on with just some light bending.

I was just looking into the wiring for this and it looks like it could be done fairly simply.

any one else got some good info on this? what all wiring needs to be done?

If all the stock wiring is there and untouched, then all you need to do is wire the compressor in to the same wire the old one was wired to.

i think most of the stock stuff is still there. do i need both a/c comp? and what line can i just bend and what one do i need to have made? im super excited to get a/c back in my car.

You just need 1UZ AC comp and original lines.
