93-94LS400 vs other full size sedans

I know everyone here is a Lexus fan but I want an objective answer.
in a quarter mile drag race with both drivers having same skill, both cars in good conditon, and both cars factory stock. which car would could beat the ls400 out of these from the same years. I tried looking online on Motor trend but it was only the newer ls430 nothing about the 93-94LS400.
1.Ford Crown Vic(Police Interceptor)
2.94 Impala SS(Caprice 9c1)
3.Acura RL-i know its a v6 but oh well
4.Infiniti q45

The LS400 would lose to all of of them except for maybe the ACURA.....

The Ford Crown and the LS400 would be a close race..

The 94 SS Impala would clean the LS400..

The Acura RL would be a close race too...THe LS4 may actually squeek out a close victory but I wouldn't bet on it..

Q45 would clean the LS400... Those Q-s can move I have driven a stock one... The Q45 motor has a little more power then the 1uz-fe for sure...

I think its mostly because of the LS' gearing and transmission setup. Modern cars that weigh as much as the LS and have similar amounts of power are fully a second or two quicker to 60mph. You'd find that they have 5 or 6 speed automatic transmissions, which is huge. Another is power under the curve, which variable valve timing helps with a lot.

Yes, you are probably right the weight and gearing has alot to do with it... Also the 1uz-fe motor is a relatively small V8 motor..
