Tried to keep the steering box but i don't have a choice, cylinder #7 fire right into the steering box, no room for a manifold
IMG_0337.JPG

IMG_0338.JPG

Lots of room on passenger side

Aw11 Manual rack tacked into place, brackets compliments of Cary (1jzra21 on 1stgencelica.com)
if this it looks crooked its just the aspect ratio of the camera, its all straight and level
23.jpg

Start of the firewal, its sunk 3" from stock
24.jpg

Mostly Done, still need to dress the welds and seam seal it all up
26.jpg

Lots of room back there now

Firewall and trans tunnel completed (it looks wavy cause i used a wire wheel to clean the surface rust off it)

passenger side header completed, all 304 stainless and 2.5" v-band (mock up motor) its not too pretty but it'll work for what i need it to do

Also moved the transmission crossmember location and built a whole new crossmember and reinforced the floorpan where it attaches, MUCH happier with this one as the old one had too much leverage against the mounting location and would have torn the floor apart fairly quickly

Turbo placement, starting on the exhaust packaging etc

pie-cuts for the tighter radius bends needed in such a cramped engine bay, Bear in mind I have never had any kind of formal welding training i'm a self taught-read-and-practice so i think i'm doing alright

Pretty much finished up all the exhaust side of things now, waiting for a 3" v-band to join exhaust to the downpipe, for now i'll be using the stock rad as its of a decent size and currently I don't have the $700 for a full custom one lol.

Downpipe finished

A view of the maze of pipes (dont worry the welds on that lower crossover pipe are just as pretty as all the rest, just havent hit them with the wire wheel yet)

Doesn't look like a lot of work but represents like 5 hrs of work lol rotated intake manifold, replaced all the injector o-rings, and deleted the traction control mechanicals from the throttle body
