I didn't drive my car for 48 hours, the temperature hit 0 degrees f today here in the Midwest. My 2003 es300 with a 1 year old battery took several seconds of cranking to finally start.

Is it possible that in extreme cold, an even healthy battery will have trouble starting (but successfully start none the less) or is my battery in need of replacement?

0 degrees aint even close to extreme cold - batteries of quality should perform ok in 0 degrees, 0 degrees is chilly

extreme cold, we talk -30 and -40 celsius, batteries struggle
