good value for a death trap (the Caldina not the engine package)....maybe i'm being a bit harsh but a mate was interested and they sent him a heap of pics. Some of the engineering was more than a little disturbing....no way it would pass engineering in Oz. Could be why the engine only is getting sold?
 
are you refering to the skyline rear diff?

i went for a ride in the car when he was trying to sell it whole.

i thought it would suffer from lack traction being front heavy but it sure did pull some g's

have you ever put yours on one of those corner weight machines that racers use?
or indeed the police mobile weight station?

from the vids ive seen your celica does look a little nose heavy.

engine did sit a little foward of the front struts.
but the 3SGE is a heavy unit.

would be interesting to see the results.

you are right tho,
certifying requirements are a bit lax here.

before 1989 they were none existent.

Yes to both. I lost 80KG overall and IMPROVED the front/rear weight bias by 10%. The car is far nicer and alot quicker to drive than an AWD GT4...less bump steer than a standard GT4 too.

I didn't just slap a V8 in, it was engineered to work.

corner weights are:

391kg --- 400kg
315kg --- 298kg

show be a better balanced car that doesn't use ballast :)
