1uzfe into bmw e28

hi all, i'm new on this forum! my name is francois and i live in cape town
south africa! this is my 1988 bmw 520i e28 that i bought about 2 years
ago!! it is a lovely car, very straight, no rust with 148 000km on the clock!!
unfortunately the engine is a little bit underpowered and i've decided to put
the lexus engine in it!! at the moment it is at a friend's workshop very close
to my home, and he's going to install the engine and gearbox (lexus) and i'll
finish the project after he's done that! any help or comments would be highly
appreciated!!

thats a sweet bmw! almost got an E30 a few years back and ls1 swapped it. looks like a very clean start! keep up the great work!!

thanx man!! it seems that the E30 is more suited for a v8 transplant, although a bit smaller than the E36 or older 5 series!! my build is going very slowly, so far had to remove the steering box and the brake booster/master cylinder! going to fit a rack and pinion and remote booster setup!!

unfortunately i'm not doing the biuld at home at this moment, a friend of mine has his own workshop, they are doing the fitment of the engine and gearbox, but they are a bit busy with services and other projects, so hopefully they will get something done this week! i'm not at home for the coming week, i'll only be back on friday, so i can only hope for the best!! i can't wait to get my hands on it to finish the project!! i'll post pics as soon as the engine and gearbox is fitted!!
