Thank you very much for your time! If I may, I have 2 questions to ask:
I own a 2nd Gen, Toyota Tacoma (2006 sales year) 4x, Manual, Double Cab, Short box.
1. Do you know if it is possible to mate the 1UZ-FE with the RA60 transmission?
I am only in the true "planning stages" of a 1UZ swap into my truck. and Ideally I want to retain its manual transmission (6speed) and 4x.
Side note, by the time i'll do this planned v-8 swap; I will have swapped out my trucks transfer case for that of a 2008 FJ cruiser (to eliminate the electronic actuator for a mechanical Lever). that FJ T-case is on my bench now.... so I want to be able to retain my trucks standard (manual transmission). .....Ideally....
My plan would be to re-build a Stock 1UZ for reliability and light off-road use, and Not hot-rodding...
2. I do have concern that this 1UZ power plant will be a lot for the RA60...thoughts?
