Thanks! Yeah I find it odd that more people don't do this with show utes, as it just made good sense to me. Super low car with big wheels you need lots of engine bay space, so it frees that up, and with a body drop its best to have nothing under the cab if possible, so I don't need to worry...

yeah im aware of that, and there are specific rules in the low volume vehicle certifying process in nz to ensure certain parts aren't chromed and those that are are safe. here we're allowed to chrome up to grade 8 bolts, which ill be doing. most of the ute ive tried to over-engineer to hell, so...

thanks. its chrome :) the actual chassis isn't chromed, its all subframes and a couple of covers for the other parts like right at the back. it adds a little weight, but looks crazy in person so a bit of a slight tradeoff. don't ask how long ive spent hand polishing those parts to get them ready...

ive decided to go with my original plan because alternative turbo layouts just won't work, and id rather not have to either run e85 or do a water/meth injection system. picture update time. video will be in at least a few more weeks. i made a couple of changes before taking it to a local car...

i put some pics up in the exhaust section (and on facebook) but am re-doing the manifolds because they don't fit inside the cantilevers. bit of a bummer, but these things happen when you're designing lots of bits at the same time. ill put some up once the new ones are built
