thats what happened when i tryed the email you posted earler. even tho my project isnt really going in that direction at the moment i would love to have one of these carb manifolds sitting around. so i would love to know who sells.
there is an angle sensor on the crank and one on each cam gear, the stock ecu uses the cam gears only for backup and double check. if your useing a aftermarket ecu just set it up to only use the crank sensor if its not already, no big deal.
with 8.5 it would have no balls off boost. you can alwas modifiy stock pistons and the head to get a lower comp. but its not advised these motors like boost at there stock compression.

Not to be a downer but it looks like it only makes about 230tq, my stock motor made 249tq wile running super rich. seems like your a bit down on power. unless the two dynos really read that far off or your at 20,000ft.
I would want to start with the 3ur block, maybe 2ur heads put a decent amount of devolopment into an intake mainfold, port design and valve design. CFD is the future... add on a pair of turbos, decent air to water intercooler. and all the goodies needed.
