Project Thread 3.3ltr whipple into Ls400

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
Hey mate, how'd you go with bonnet clearance with the big 3.3L? Did you end up using the Ford Scoop? Do you reckon the 2.9L Whipple would fit without a scoop? Which intake manifold did you end up using?

the 2.9 is a little bit smaller then the 3.3, in HxWxL but not by much.
You may find that you will need to use a scoop, supercharger should clear but its the drive gear you will have clearance issues with.

If your running low boost, your top pulley will be bigger then a high boost pulley so allow a bit extra room.

Yes the ford boss scoop will do the job nicely off our new gt's.

I have a Ported Richwoord manifold an a custom dual 70mm intake system with my 3.3ltr.

Here are a couple of pics of set up an car.
At this point in time the car is off the road as after driving around on soft tune the auto was fried after 700kms.
I was running twin trans coolers an box was tricked up with Teflon clutch tweak valve body an 3500 stallie.
I was in the process of changing auto to 6 speed tremac but unfortunately I had a work accident an injured me arm which put this project on hold.
I'm now looking at going to a th400 stage2 auto instead of 6speed due to arm
