The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
oem shim?

just dont believe everything u read on the internet...
there are people that just repeat shit they read ... and use it as gospel
ive already stated than before to a certain person here...

as stated before, control the valve, and the cam CANNOT have enough leverage to 'flick' it out

btw.. u would not run this xtreme sprung combo in a daily driver..with out regular maintance

google words like spintron

the parts will show telltale signs of no valve control
it takes 1000's of dollars to R & D shit before combos are actualy run at the track

How do you get away with oem buckets and shims?

??
if the engine is happy, all is ok ?
ive actually held those heads in my hands.
its been 5 + years worth of fuck ups, r & d , 100's of passes to get to this stage.

ohh and good brand of oil;)

lies u can't rev them that hard or make power over 5500rpm with the factory lower manifold :p we spin to 8500rpm no probs. as u know ash ours is a street driven car. we spent almost $87 for R&D on Joe's engine ;) only aftermarket thing in our heads are the springs, 100lbs. still runs factory valves, shims etc etc.

poor 1uz catching fire, never good when any racer has an accident or does an engine.

we didn't spend anything on R&D just wanted to look cool saying spent $87 :p by the time Joe's engine was started Macca had already done 8 years of R&D. Macca popped down to Sydney a couple weeks ago, he is back doing a 1UZ now, he is looking at building a 650hp NA 1UZ for his son's dragster. obviosuly if the heads flow ridiculous numbers like his old ones did back 10 years ago we want a set ;)

yer i know :p
but you got real life data ;)

Thats not to say shim under isn't better...
Or ported Std manifold isn't better..
Street shocks better than 90 / 10's on the street...

if the shim over bucket works, why spend the extra $$$$
ohhhh thats right... you READ it some where, and now just re spit it out at any time you feel.....

carry on...

OK for drag racing but the high spring tension pays havoc on street engine..Wear on shims etc...

???
what are you talking about?:confused::confused:

any heavily modifed / performance engine ,transmission, component requires maintance or adjusting through out its service life.

oem / slightly modified doesn't require the same attention.....
the drag race comment you made is null and void, as the example provided is actually a drag race application.

the hardened steel shim will not 'flick' out if the valve is controlled and not come out of contact with the camshaft. ( you read, and repeat too much shit on the internet.)
the harden steel shim is designed to do 100,000's of KM in its service life as per normal usage.
the material is simular to lash caps, rocker pad tips, and is harder than camshaft lobes.

please stay out of my threads if you got no idea what your talking about.
your a moderator, and surpose to lead by example

thankyou.

Ease up ..
Don't take things so seriously...

Latter model engines run shim-less...
It didn't cost me much to fit shim-less buckets..
The shop reco'd two NZ2 heads from which I got the buckets
for nicks..
More time consumption than cost...
It's not the rpm that wears valve train on it's own..
Ramp speed, spring tension adds up..
Bta this is a 1/4 mile engine...
Either way it doesn't matter...
