Thats not to say shim under isn't better...
Or ported Std manifold isn't better..
Street shocks better than 90 / 10's on the street...

OK for drag racing but the high spring tension pays havoc on street engine..Wear on shims etc...

???
what are you talking about?

any heavily modifed / performance engine ,transmission, component requires maintance or adjusting through out its service life.

oem / slightly modified doesn't require the same attention.....
the drag race comment you made is null and void, as the example provided is actually a drag race application.

the hardened steel shim will not 'flick' out if the valve is controlled and not come out of contact with the camshaft. ( you read, and repeat too much shit on the internet.)
the harden steel shim is designed to do 100,000's of KM in its service life as per normal usage.
the material is simular to lash caps, rocker pad tips, and is harder than camshaft lobes.

please stay out of my threads if you got no idea what your talking about.
your a moderator, and surpose to lead by example

thankyou.

Ease up ..
Don't take things so seriously...

Latter model engines run shim-less...
It didn't cost me much to fit shim-less buckets..
The shop reco'd two NZ2 heads from which I got the buckets
for nicks..
More time consumption than cost...
It's not the rpm that wears valve train on it's own..
Ramp speed, spring tension adds up..
Bta this is a 1/4 mile engine...
Either way it doesn't matter...
