Under the timing belt two metal pieces coming off the block

    Someone dropped a bolt down my timing belt area when I started it the bolts sheared off the two metal things coming off the block what are those for

    Sounds like rotten luck! Would you have a photo of that? Might help with identifying what you mean.

    when I go to put a picture on it tells me it's too large but if you coming out of the block or two half inch long metal pieces they look like it holds the belt from being able to jump teeth

    Are you referring to the pieces that normally sit under the crankshaft timing belt pulley? If so they are there for help fitting belt. As long as oil pump isnt cracked i would say it would be fine without them.
