Me again, still got some beer money owed to Bushwacker (shame on me) but need to ask another question.

Ive basically finished the car except for a pesky small water hose under the thermostat. On the 200SX there is a small fitting on the neck of the radiator which goes to an overflow tank (this is lower than the neck of the radiator.

Now the confusion has come with the Lexus system. Theres a little hose that comes off the bottom of the thermostat:

What id hoped is that this was the same as the 'blow off' (i made that up) system of the 200, so i could just get a T-Piece and plumb it into the 200 system:

Unfortunately, when i filled the system with water it seemed to pour out of the Lexus hose. Am i going to have to faff around with a pressurised expansion tank, or can i just block off the Lexus system and rely on the 200 system? If so, does anyone have any ideas of a good way of blocking the lexus system?

Thanks so much. My car is ready to go apart from this :-(

Block the lexus small hose off. We generally remove the thermostat /bypass housing , remove the metal fitting and alloy weld the hole.

The Nissan system will take care of the overflow.

OK, the only thing im a bit nervous about is that im assuming it has to take a higher pressure than the rad cap will blow at. So ill need to find a reinforced hose and a suitable bung.

Final piece of the puzzle is the dang clutch hose fitting (sigh). Then get my coilovers on to come back down to normal ride height and i should be away.

Bushwhacker can you PM me your paypal so i can beer money you up for the ECU tip.

Oh, another question as ive filled it. Will the system self bleed or do i need to let air out of that bolt on top of the housing we are talking about?

Cool, just standard technique then. Im slowly eliminating all the little niggles im expecting with this car! Test drive on saturday hopefully. Will put up videos.
