To name a few.

is the flywheel on a massive offset or something, i try doing it that way a while ago but the 1uz bellhousing was to long for the input shaft. Tht was in a t56 from a ls1. I have an adapter for the original bellhousing from the t56 to go on the 1uz. Only problem is that it takes up more room width wise and meant i had to do some massaging of the trans tunnel on my 180sx.

how much higher of a top speed does the t56 have over the TKO, i dont really understand the whole gear ratio concept and how that relates to real world numbers. if anyone has a simple way to explain the gear ratio:rpm:mph thing i'd appretiate that to, or just an answer to the first question.
THANKS!!

Assuming you rengine has the torque to drive a tall gear ratio you can gain a lot from a transmission swap.

A good example would be a 6 speed LS3 where 5th and 6th are both overdriven. This would allow you to run a lower diff ratio that would give you better accelaration (but poorer fuel economy) whilst still being able to drive on the freeway at bearable revs.

Adaption is running in mine and Damiens Soarers.

Is GREAT :)

I am 4th gear @ 60kph @ 1,700 rpm. ( 3.2:1 diff ratio )
* Rough estimate, as I dont have the speedo going just yet *
